A great Design Course, in a Great Place, with a Great Line-up of Local Speakers/Field Trips - June 11-19, 2008

It's not exactly local travel, but the subjects are - local food, local resources, smaller/local businesses, less transport, local communities, etc.. Join New England native and noted Permaculture teacher, Dick Pierce, and the team of local experts. You'll have class, outdoor projects, meals, and rooms at Plowshare Farm in Greenfield, NH - about 230 mi. from NYC. S-NH is alive with CSA's, small farms - many Biodynamic, large gardens, Green/natural builders, renewable energy, cohousing, small/independent businesses, and self-reliant folks that have spent their lives learning and giving back to their land - it is great Permaculture-learning country and well worth the drive/bus ride - esp with 2-in-a-car.
